Yoga Transformed My Life

I began practicing yoga to stay in shape and get a break from my kids. My yoga journey took me by surprise as it became so much more than a physical practice. Yoga became a body, mind, and spiritual practice for me. Yoga helps me live with more intention, balance, and purpose. Yoga is love. It taught me to love myself, and when I learned to love myself first I was able to love and serve others better.

Yoga is my superpower. I take the balance, strength, empowerment, peace, love, presence, patience, grace, forgiveness, and energy I cultivate and create on my yoga mat off my mat and into my life.

I wanted to share the gifts of yoga with other women and that’s what led me to pursue my 200 hrs RYT (registered yoga teacher) training in 2015.

Teaching yoga sets my soul on FIRE! I have been serving women in my community teaching yoga classes at local studios, hosting retreats, workshops, pop-up classes, trainings, and in 2020 launched Megan’s Yoga Tribe Online Yoga, Barre, Pilates studio, and opened our studio in downtown Lee’s Summit in May 2022.

My goal is to help you transform your body and mind each time we practice yoga together; in person or virtual. I will offer easy to follow cues, modifications and the motivation through my language and flows to challenge you while still honoring your body and mind.

I love practicing with Megan! She offers so many different styles of yoga and brings her energy and positivity to each one when she steps on her mat. She honors where your body is today and encourages you to grow in your practice and know that you can do hard things too. I feel energized, strong and confident at the end of each class! 


My first experience with Buti Yoga was in Kirksville, MO at my favorite little yoga studio in 2015. The music was loud, we laughed, we sweated, and I fell in love! Since then I became integrated into the Buti Yoga network in Kansas City where I became certified to teach Buti Yoga in 2017. I have taught ever since, and I feel that I always meet the most wonderful women (and men) through Buti.
It is my goal in each Buti Yoga class to challenge you, to encourage you, and to get to know you.

My name is Hillary, and I am all about living a healthy lifestyle as a whole (mind, body, spirit). I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart, mom of two boys (6 years old and 3 year old), Cancer fighter, Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Certified Nutrition Coach, Mobility Coach and Certified Barre Instructor! I have a love for fitness and being active. Fitness has been my passion for about 6 years now. I discovered barre about 6 years ago, and as a former dancer I fell in love. I worked up the confidence, and got certified! I’m certified by American Barre Technique and have loved teaching Barre for 4 years now! Hope to help you have a great barre experience in the studio and at home!

Katie is a KCMO area yoga instructor with a passion for astrology, philosophy, and all things meta-physical. With a background in body-building and physical fitness she understands both the anatomy of the body and the societal pressures put on it. She teaches a style of yoga that focuses on cultivating a loving and compassionate conversation with the body so that with the breath we can connect through the body and to the spirit.
In her free time you can find Katie pouring over birth charts, sipping cold brew at coffee shops around town, taking yoga classes at new studios, drinking red wine in the winter and sun bathing at loose park in the summer. She’s a Leo sun, Aquarius moon, Capricorn rising. If you know, you know, and if you don’t she says let’s talk!

Natalie Rain Pellow  is RYT 200 certified from the highland square school of yoga as well as Reiki II certified from SHINE Akron. Natalie started practicing yoga and mindfulness a few years back when she felt called for a change and followed her intuition for guidance, which led her to step onto her mat and begin the journey within yoga and reiki. She soon fell in love with her practice and knew from her very first yoga class that it was right where she was meant to be. Natalie shows authenticity in her personality, having true passion and always wanting to inspire and teach others. Haley is a passionate, charismatic, local Artist, Sound Healing Practitioner and certified yoga instructor. She is inspired by the holistic approach to health and the healing power of art, music and movement. Meet Amber:

My yoga practice began as self-care about 15 years ago to overcome Postpartum Anxiety, and I am passionate about using Yoga, breath work, and meditation as a way to promote wellness.

When teaching, I like to balance strength and mobility with the beauty and grace of yoga asanas, and sprinkle in a little bit of playfulness. I love the adaptability of Hatha, the challenge of Yoga/Pilates Fusion, and the mindfulness of connecting body and mind to breath. 

My 200 Hour Yoga Certification is from Kansas City Teacher Training’s immersive program.

When not on the mat, I enjoy being outdoors, taking walks, going on hikes, kayaking, reading, and spending time with family. My husband and I have 3 beautiful kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a fish.

Meet Tehya:

Tehya Goodman is a 200 hr RYT who earned her certification in 2020. She discovered yoga in her teens and quickly grew to appreciate the balance it brings into your life. She focuses her yoga classes around building a strong trust between yourself and your body. She is also an aerialist, artist, and astrology lover who enjoys spending her free time outdoors.

Meet Carly:

I started practicing yoga 18 years ago as a calming lunch break from my corporate job, in those early days it was impossible to close my eyes and calm my mind during savasana. Today my practice is fundamental to managing stress; my mat is my calm in the storm – a place where I am fully present. It is where I have learned to trust and honor my body and connect with my soul.
My 200 hour yoga certification is from Zen Zone Yoga.  I am currently enrolled in Flow School with the goal of bringing creative movement beyond traditional sun salutations in circular patterns that will calm and challenge.
Outside of yoga I work as an IT Director, have one adult son, love to read, enjoy road trips on the back of my partners motorcycle and strive to find more time for naps and paddle boarding.  I am passionate about raising awareness and removing the stigma related to substance use disorder.

Meet Andrea:

I am a wife, mom of 4, math teacher, and 200 hour certified yoga instructor from KC Yoga Kula. In my personal yoga practice, I find opportunity for growth in every class I take, and I love learning from different instructors. Yoga has taught me to use breath to calm the mind to overcome challenges both on and off the mat. I believe yoga to be an incredible tool for both mental and physical wellbeing. As a teacher, I will meet you where you are and guide you through movement and breath. Away from the mat, I enjoy the outdoors, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Meet Angelina:

“Angelina is a Certified Wellness Consultant, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and Herbalist, studying to be a Doctor of Quantum Medicine.
She is based in Kansas City for now and owns a Wellness Platform called Body Kinship that focuses on reconnecting people to themselves, their community, and their true nature. Her holistic approach brings clarity, direction, and positive support to her clients, helping them live their best life. She helps by filling the gap between where they are now, and where they want to be. By identifying where healing is desired, suggesting tools, educating, setting goals and objectives, and holding space for accountability- her clients can reach their highest potential. Respecting that Each of us has a very personal and unique wellness journey, Angelina attempts to be merely a guide, so that each client can take full responsibility and ownership over their bodies. This is where personal power is created.
Angelina is formally trained in helping people reconnect to themselves, their personal power, their spirit walk, and to establish a rhythmic relationship with nature. She believes we all have a light within us and that You are already born with the qualities you will need to live a life of your dreams! Angelina helps her clients reach each milestone, one at a time. With an ultimate end goal of satisfaction and success.”
