Meet Megan's Yoga Tribe Instructors
Create and Live a Life You LoveYoga Transformed My Life
I began practicing yoga to stay in shape and get a break from my kids. My yoga journey took me by surprise as it became so much more than a physical practice. Yoga became a body, mind, and spiritual practice for me. Yoga helps me live with more intention, balance, and purpose. Yoga is love. It taught me to love myself, and when I learned to love myself first I was able to love and serve others better.
Yoga is my superpower. I take the balance, strength, empowerment, peace, love, presence, patience, grace, forgiveness, and energy I cultivate and create on my yoga mat off my mat and into my life.

I wanted to share the gifts of yoga with other women and that’s what led me to pursue my 200 hrs RYT (registered yoga teacher) training in 2015.
Teaching yoga sets my soul on FIRE! I have been serving women in my community teaching yoga classes at local studios, hosting retreats, workshops, pop-up classes, trainings, and in 2020 launched Megan’s Yoga Tribe Online Yoga, Barre, Pilates studio, and opened our studio in downtown Lee’s Summit in May 2022.
My goal is to help you transform your body and mind each time we practice yoga together; in person or virtual. I will offer easy to follow cues, modifications and the motivation through my language and flows to challenge you while still honoring your body and mind.
When you practice yoga with me you will feel loved, noticed, and important! Thank you for allowing me to serve you!
Much LOVE & Gratitude,
Megan Sevart-Culbertson

Meet Andrea:
I am a wife, mom of 4, math teacher, and 200 hour certified yoga instructor from KC Yoga Kula. In my personal yoga practice, I find opportunity for growth in every class I take, and I love learning from different instructors. Yoga has taught me to use breath to calm the mind to overcome challenges both on and off the mat. I believe yoga to be an incredible tool for both mental and physical wellbeing. As a teacher, I will meet you where you are and guide you through movement and breath. Away from the mat, I enjoy the outdoors, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Meet Jonna:
Jonna found yoga in 2012, and since then it has became her rock in starting the process of finding her True Self. She continued down the Vedic path of self discovery, and found that she enjoys hiking, reading, brewing kombucha, and playing with herbs, spices, and tonics. She recently became an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and has a passion for helping clients become the healthiest versions of theirselves. When not with clients, she works part-time as a Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse, loves spending time with her amazing husband and kids, and thrives being in nature. Jonna loves warm, slower yoga classes where she can drop Vedic wisdom of meditation, pranayama, and Ayurvedic tips so her students can learn to live their best lives off the mat as well! Living her Sankalpa of “Peace, calm, and healing are my True Spirit”, she is ready to show you how yoga can boost strength, mobility, and vitality, and Jonna’s ultimate goal for her students is to promote longevity so that you can live a blissful life in all areas of the Mind, Body, and Soul!

Meet Tricia:
I believe yoga is for everyone. I want to inspire people to become the person they were created to be physically, mentally and spiritually. I’m a E-RYT with well over 15,000 hours on the mat as an instructor. My classes are warm, challenging and soulful . Inspired by all kinds of music, I use gentle alignments to help yogis discover more about their own body. I share thought provoking insights to challenge yogis to live yoga “off the mat” and bring the 8 limbs of yoga to the practice. When I’m not teaching yoga or co-leading Zen Zone Yoga Teacher Training, I’m a certified health and life coach for a Functional medicine practice in Kansas City, MO. I’m married to my college sweetheart, have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and a dog. You’ll find me doing yoga on the water at Lake Jacomo on my SUP or our sailboat; I also enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking, knitting, reading, running and getting creative anyway I can. I hope to see you on the mat soon!

Meet Jacqueline:
Jacqueline is a caring, intuitive, and compassionate teacher who creates an inviting and warm environment for all. Her personal yoga journey began in 2014 with a weekly class in a community center which quickly grew into a commitment to finding ways to live a more peaceful, joy-lead, and grateful life. Along this journey, Jacqueline found that yoga was the missing link needed to initiate her healing and connection with her truth. With a deep desire to connect, heal, and teach others, Jacqueline initiated and completed her RYT-200 in 2017, which later lead her to complete her Pilates Mat certification, Barre certification, and pursue her comprehensive 600-hour Pilates certification. To Jacqueline yoga is universal. It can be a great way to start or enhance a physical exercise regiment but it can also offer a deeper dive into the self through the connection of mind, body, and breath. Jacqueline uses the versatility of yoga to structure her classes by using the physical practice to build strength and grounding while providing students with the opportunity to find a deeper connection through breathwork and thought-provoking meditations. Her hope is that you leave her class feeling refreshed, nourished, and strong in mind, body, and spirit. Off the mat, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her two corgis, family, and friends as well as cross-stitching, belly dancing, and taking every opportunity to learn and grow.

Meet Gwen:
B.S.Ed. University of Missouri, M.S. Exercise Physiology & Biomechanics-University of Kansas, 500 E-RYT Yoga Alliance
Gwen Hull loves to share the Ashtanga Practice as a technique for wellness and self-knowledge, ultimately leading to union with God. The awareness of the practice is to the ujjayi breath, bandhas (energetic locks), and drishti (focus) linking breath to movement (one asana to the next) in a beautiful garland of flowers becoming a moving meditation/prayer. Gwen believes her role as teacher is to create a safe environment where she can encourage, inspire, and help each student establish the practice in their daily life regardless of age, ability, or circumstance. She believes Ashtanga yoga is a lifelong practice as she has had five clients practicing into their nineties with improved quality of life.
Gwen is the Director of our Teacher Training Programs (200 Hr & 300 Hr Yoga Alliance, and the School based Teacher Yoga Education- 40 hour program). She has practiced and taught at Maya Yoga since her dear friend, Kathleen Kastner founded the Maya community in 2002. She has been the Lead Teacher for Maya Yoga since 2015, and feels very blessed to be a part of a staff with such talented, and kind people.
Gwen completed a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Missouri-1991. After teaching for a few years at Winnetonka High School, she completed her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics from the University of Kansas-1998. She has taught group fitness since 1986, personal training sessions since 1991, and yoga since 1996. Sri K. Pattabhi Jois shared the Ashtanga lineage with several teachers to share Ashtanga yoga with the west (David Williams, David Swenson, Tim Miller, Ganga White, and more). Gwen has practiced extensively with many of the senior teachers. She is very grateful for her first teacher, Genevieve Crosslin, a student of Ganga White. She brought the Ashtanga practice to life with discipline, fire, and love as she allowed Gwen to practice under her guidance for three years. Ram(Mic) and Stephanie Goodman of Yoga-Vedanta Shala allowed her to be a participant and teach the Anatomy/pre-natal portions of their Yoga Alliance teacher training programs in 2004-5. Gwen has practiced and taught yoga for 25 years and is currently registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT- 500 teacher.
Gwen has been married to Alan Hull since 8/17/1991, and has been blessed with four children; Tanner 26, Amanda 24, Natalie 20, and William 18. Raising and nurturing her family has been her greatest accomplishment and joy. She also loves running with her four dogs, tennis, weight training, cooking, gardening and reading. As a devout practicing Catholic, she begins her day praying the Rosary which moves into her daily yoga practice. Then, she tries to go out and make the world a better place with a smile, a kind word, or sharing her practice… Just Be and Just Be Love! “ Abide in me, and I in you…Abide in Love” John 15
