1. Write in a Gratitude Journal- Write 3 things you are thankful for each morning to start the day with a grateful and abundant mindset. Try this: I am thankful for___________, because___________. When you add the because you are giving what you are thankful for meaning, personal connection and making it real in your life, and it will have a greater impact.
  2. Volunteer-Be of service to others. There are so many great lessons to be learned when being of service to those in need.  I highly recommend finding volunteer opportunities in your community that your family can participate together. Raising kids with an understanding and experience of serving will teach them gratitude.
  3. Write an email, text, or letter of gratitude telling someone what you appreciate about them. Gratitude is contagious and when someone feels appreciated that energy and feeling will spread.
  4. Practice Gratitude around the table at meal time-fill each others “buckets” tell each person why you are thankful for them.
  5. Stop gossiping and complaining when you spend time with your gal pals.  This is a bad habit and what you focus on you create more of in your life. Focusing on negativity will not cultivate gratitude in your life. Stop complaining about your kids, husband, job, finances and life. Try talking about the highlights from your week and sharing positive experiences, goals, dreams and help solve problems when getting together with your tribe.
  6. Celebrate Failures- This is especially important when raising kids. When celebrating failures we teach ourselves and our kids to have gratitude for the journey and the process. If your expectations are for you and your kids to always win, get 100% on every test, get the lead role, and always be the best we won’t have as much appreciation and gratitude for the process. It’s ok to fail there’s always a lesson to be learned and grace to be given to ourselves and others which teaches humility.

Gratitude turns what we have into ENOUGH! I challenge you to make practicing gratitude a daily habit and ritual. Gratitude nourishes the soul  and makes the spirt happy!

Much Love & Gratitude,
